Elephant Trunk Hill Park
Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol landmark of Guilin. The huge rock formation stretches into Li-River, with natural Water-Moon-Cave piercing through the rock like an elephant drinking river water. You can walk along riverbank to capture the classic elephant silhouette shot, or climb Elephant-Eye Hill for elevated river-view. Misty-rain days deliver magical atmospheric scenery. Inside park you can also visit historic Sanyahua wine cellar and Pu-Xian Pagoda.
Dongxi Alley Historic Cultural Block
Right beside Jingjiang Prince-City, Dongxi Alley preserves authentic Ming-Qing-era street-scape. Divided into East-Alley and West-Alley with old timber-frame buildings. You will find Guilin rice-noodles, beer-fish, Gongcheng oil-tea, osmanthus-cake plus many handicraft-creativity stores. Great for casual strolling and food-hunting in daytime; lantern-lit evenings bring strong old-city-market vibe.
Jingjiang Prince-City · Duxiu Peak
Jingjiang Prince-City is a well-preserved Ming-Dynasty princely residence built more than 600 years ago. In its centre stands solitary Duxiu Peak. The famous quote “Guilin scenery tops under heaven” was carved onto cliff here. Climb stone steps to summit and overlook full panorama: karst peaks, Li-River and entire Guilin city spread before your eyes. The park also includes ancient imperial-examination hall where you may experience ancient Chinese imperial-examination culture.
Rong-Shanhu Lake & Two-Rivers-and-Four-Lakes
Two-Rivers-and-Four-Lakes connects Li-River, Taohua-River together with Shanhu-Lake, Ronghu-Lake, Guihu-Lake, Mulonghu-Lake forming Guilin’s urban water network. Rong-Shanhu Lake has wide water-surface; Sun-Moon Twin-Towers are the most-famous night-time icon.
